Key Recruitment Details

  • Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment
  • Selection Basis: Statewide
  • Probation Period:
    • 1 year on duty within a continuous period of 2 years.
    • Can be extended by up to 2 more years if required (Rule 184 of KCS Rules applies).

Age Limit

  • General Category: 18–40 years (Born between 02.01.1985 and 01.01.2007, both dates inclusive).
  • Relaxations:
    • SC/ST, OBC, Differently Abled – as per government norms.
    • Special Concession: Provisional employees of 29 specified Co-operative institutions (appointed via Employment Exchange) get relaxation equal to their provisional service (max 5 years).
    • Maximum permissible age with relaxation: 50 years.

Educational & Professional Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized university in Kerala with minimum 60% aggregate marks.
  2. Five years of active practice in a court of law.

Note:

  • Equivalent or higher qualifications recognized by government orders are acceptable.
  • Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II KS&SSR applies.

Application Process

  1. One Time Registration (OTR):
    • Apply via www.keralapsc.gov.in using OTR profile.
    • No multiple profiles allowed.
    • Photograph:
      • For existing profiles: photo taken after 31.12.2013, with name & date printed below.
      • For new profiles: recent photo taken within 6 months.
    • No application fee required.
  2. Before Submission:
    • Verify accuracy of all details in profile.
    • Keep printout/soft copy of submitted application for reference.
  3. Admit Card & Confirmation:
    • If a Written/OMR/Online Test is conducted, candidates must confirm attendance via profile.
    • Admit card available 15 days before the exam date for confirmed candidates only.
  4. ID Proof: Aadhaar card should be added as ID proof in the profile.

Special Instructions

  • Any difference in caste/community in application vs SSLC record must be supported by Gazette Notification + community certificate.
  • Only official Kerala PSC rules and conditions apply.
  • Fake claims regarding education/experience will result in strict disciplinary action, disqualification, or legal proceedings.
