Direct Recruitment – District-wise (Only from SC and LC/AI communities)
Age Limit
- LC/AI: 23–39 years (born between 02.01.1986 and 01.01.2002)
- SC: 23–41 years (born between 02.01.1984 and 01.01.2002)

Educational Qualification
- SSLC or equivalent recognized by Govt. of Kerala/India.
- Higher/equivalent qualifications declared by Govt. will also be accepted.
Technical Qualification
- Must possess a valid driving license for LMV, HGMV & HPMV.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in driving motor vehicles (to be proved by an experience certificate).
- Proficiency in driving will be tested by a Practical Test conducted by KPSC.
- The driving license must remain valid throughout all stages of the selection process.
Physical Standards
- LC/AI: Height ≥ 168 cm; Chest ≥ 81 cm with minimum expansion of 5 cm.
- SC: Height ≥ 160 cm; Chest ≥ 81 cm with minimum expansion of 5 cm.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Candidates must qualify in 5 out of 8 events of the National Physical Efficiency One Star Standard Test:
- 100m run – 14 sec
- High Jump – 132.2 cm
- Long Jump – 457.2 cm
- Shot Put (7.264 kg) – 609.6 cm
- Throwing Cricket Ball – 6096 cm
- Rope Climbing (hands only) – 365.8 cm
- Pull-ups/Chinning – 8 times
- 1500m run – 5 min 44 sec
Medical Standards
- Hearing must be perfect.
- Eyesight: 6/6 Snellen (distant), 0.5 Snellen (near vision) without glasses.
- Normal colour vision, no night blindness.
- Must be free from knock-knee, flat foot, varicose veins, squint, defective speech, deformities etc.
- Candidates must produce a Medical Fitness Certificate (Part A – Ophthalmologist; Part B – Govt. Medical Officer).
Training
- Selected candidates must undergo training up to 3 months at a Forest Training School.
- Failure to complete training successfully will result in termination.
Additional Weightage
- NCC Certificates: ‘A’ – 2%, ‘B’ – 3%, ‘C’ – 5% weightage.
- Student Police Cadet (SPC) certificate holders – extra weightage marks.
Application Process
- Apply online through One Time Registration on Kerala PSC official website.
- No application fee.
- Photograph (taken within 6 months) must be uploaded.
- Application once submitted cannot be altered/deleted.
- Candidates must confirm if a written/OMR/online test is scheduled; otherwise, application will be rejected.

- Candidates already working in this post in Govt. service cannot reapply.
- Appointment is district-based; transfer to another district is restricted until 5 years of service.
