This NCA notification is issued because no qualified Muslim candidates were available in the earlier Ranked List (Cat. No. 327/2019, finalized on 25.04.2022).
Method of Appointment
- Direct Recruitment – Restricted to Ex-servicemen belonging to the Muslim reservation community of Kerala.
Age Limit
- 21 – 42 years (Born between 02.01.1983 and 01.01.2004, both dates inclusive).
- Maximum relaxation up to 50 years allowed as per rules.
Qualifications
- Language: Must be literate in Malayalam/Tamil/Kannada.
- Driving License:
- Valid Motor Driving Licence with endorsement for Heavy Duty Vehicles & Motor Cycle.
- At least 3 years’ experience in driving heavy vehicles (Military or Civil).
- Licence issued after 16.01.1979 must have endorsements for both Heavy Goods & Heavy Passenger Vehicles.
- Proficiency Test: Practical Test including ‘T’ Test & Road Test (only those who pass T-Test can take Road Test).
- Medical Fitness:
- Perfect hearing, good eyesight (6/6 distant, 0.5 near, normal colour vision, no night blindness).
- No paralysis, normal joints, normal nervous system, free from infectious diseases.
- Other Conditions:
- Must be Ex-servicemen / Disembodied Territorial Army personnel (produce Discharge Certificate & Pension Order).
- Must produce Experience Certificate in prescribed format.
Special Notes
- Candidates must be ready to clean and oil vehicles.
- Must be able to drive Light Duty Vehicles as well.
- Certain categories of differently-abled candidates (ASD, ID, SLD) are eligible.
- Must hold valid Driving Licence and Badge throughout all selection stages.
Selection Process
- Practical Test (Driving proficiency).
- If applications are large, a Written/OMR/Online Test may also be conducted.
- Candidates must produce Medical Certificates (General + Eye specialist) at the time of practical test.
- Final selection based on Ranked List (District basis).
Probation
- Selected candidates will be on probation for 2 years within a continuous period of 3 years.
