The examination is for the recruitment of Sub-Inspectors in two categories:

Note: Candidates selected for CAPF posts are liable to serve anywhere in India.


✅ Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification (as on 16.10.2025)

The essential educational qualification for all posts is a

Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university or equivalent. Candidates who have appeared in their final year examination can also apply, but they must possess the qualification on or before the closing date for receipt of applications.

2. Special Requirement (SI in Delhi Police – Male)

Male candidates for the post of Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police must possess a

valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) on the date fixed for the Physical Endurance and Measurement Tests (PE&MT). Male candidates without a valid LMV license are only eligible for the post of Sub-Inspector in CAPFs.

3. Age Limit (as on 01.08.2025)

  • General Age Limit: 20-25 years. Candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.08.2000 and not later than 01.08.2005.
  • Age Relaxation (Upper Limit):
    • SC/ST: 5 years
    • OBC: 3 years
    • Ex-Servicemen (ESM): 3 years after deduction of military service rendered
    • Departmental Candidates (Delhi Police) with minimum 3 years of service:
      • UR/EWS: Up to 30 years
      • OBC: Up to 33 years
      • SC/ST: Up to 35 years

📝 Scheme of Examination

The examination will consist of the following stages:

  1. Paper-I (Computer Based Examination)
  2. Physical Standard Test (PST) / Physical Endurance Test (PET)
  3. Paper-II (Computer Based Examination)
  4. Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and Review Medical Examination (RME) (Mandatory and qualifying)
  5. Document Verification (DV) (Conducted by CAPFs/Delhi Police)

Medical Standard (Eyesight)

  • Minimum Near Vision: N6 (better eye) and N9 (worse eye).
  • Minimum Distant Vision: 6/6 (better eye) and 6/9 (worse eye).
  • The vision must be without any correction (no glasses or surgery of any kind).
  • Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein, or squint in eyes, and should possess high colour vision.

💰 Application Fee

  • Fee Payable: Rs. 100/-.
  • Exemptions: Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from fee payment.
  • Payment Mode: Fee must be paid only through online modes (BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or Debit/Credit Cards).

💻 How to Apply

  1. Candidates must complete a One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new SSC website (https://ssc.gov.in).
  2. The application must be submitted in online mode only, either through the SSC website or the ‘mySSC’ mobile application.
  3. Candidates are advised to opt for Aadhaar-Based Authentication during OTR, as it prevents application rejection due to photograph/signature standards and may exempt them from producing a recent photograph and original Photo-ID proof at the time of the Computer-Based Examination.
  4. The application requires a real-time photograph captured while filling out the form; uploading a pre-existing photograph is not permitted and will lead to rejection. The photograph must be clear, without a cap or spectacles.

⚙️ Correction Window

A

Window for Application Form Correction is provided from 24.10.2025 to 26.10.2025.

  • A candidate can correct and re-submit their application two times.
  • Correction Charges:
    • First time correction: ₹200/-
    • Second time correction: ₹500/-
  • The correction charges are uniform for all candidates.
