  • Ranked list will be valid for at least 1 year (up to 3 years until a new list is published).
  • 4% of reported vacancies reserved for eligible Differently Abled candidates under RPwD Act, 2016.

Recruitment Details

  • Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (as per G.O(P) No.41/94/PW&T dated 03.06.1994).
  • Age Limit: 21 – 40 years
    • Candidates born between 02.01.1985 and 01.01.2004 are eligible.
    • Usual age relaxation applies for SC/ST and OBC categories.
  • Educational Qualifications (any one of the following):
    1. B.Sc./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Kerala University) OR B.E. (Civil) of Madras University OR equivalent recognized qualification.
    2. Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) in Civil Engineering or equivalent Diploma.
    3. Pass in Sections A & B of Associate Membership Examinations of Institution of Engineers (India) in Civil Engineering.
    Notes:
    • Rule 10(a)(ii) of KS & SSR Part II applies.
    • Equivalent/higher qualifications recognized by Government will also be accepted (with proof when required).

Other Service Conditions

  • Liability to Serve in Defence Services:
    Selected candidates shall be liable to serve a minimum of 4 years (including training) in Defence Services/assignments related to Defence within the first 10 years of service (not ordinarily applicable to Assistant Engineers above 40 years).
  • Probation:
    Selected candidates will be on probation for 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years.

Application Procedure

  1. Apply online only through One Time Registration (OTR) on Kerala PSC Website.
  2. Already registered candidates can apply through their profile using User-ID & Password.
  3. First-time applicants must upload a recent photograph (taken within 6 months, with name & date printed). Valid for 10 years.
  4. No application fee required.
  5. Applications cannot be modified/deleted once submitted. Keep a printout/soft copy for reference.

Examination Procedure

  • If Written/OMR/Online Test is conducted:
    • Candidates must confirm participation via their profile.
    • Only confirmed candidates can download Admission Tickets (available 15 days before exam).
    • Applications without confirmation will be rejected.
  • Candidates should add Aadhar as ID proof in their profile.

Special Instructions

  • Any mismatch in caste/community between application & SSLC record → Gazette Notification + valid certificate required.
  • Applications not complying with General Conditions (Part II of Gazette) will be rejected.
  • False claims of qualification/experience may lead to disqualification, debarment, dismissal, or legal action.
