Eligibility Criteria (as on 1 Sept 2025)
Nationality: Indian citizen or eligible categories (Nepal, Bhutan, Tibetan refugee pre-1962, PIO from specified countries).
Age Limit:
- 21 – 30 years (born between 2 Sept 1995 and 1 Sept 2004).
- Relaxations: SC/ST (5 yrs), OBC (3 yrs), PwBD (10–15 yrs), Ex-servicemen, PhD/M.Phil holders, RBI/Banking experience, etc.
Educational Qualification:
- General: Graduation with 60% (50% for SC/ST/PwBD) or Post-graduation with 55% (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD).
- DEPR: Master’s in Economics/Finance (55% marks; 50% for SC/ST/PwBD). Desirable – PhD/teaching/research.
- DSIM: Master’s (55%) in Statistics/Mathematics/Data Science/AI/ML/Big Data etc. OR 4-year Bachelor’s (60%) in the same. Desirable – PhD/research/teaching.
Attempts: Max 6 for General/EWS (Phase-I). No limit for reserved categories.
Selection Process
- General: Phase-I (online test) → Phase-II (3 papers) → Interview.
- DEPR/DSIM: Phase-I (2 papers) → Phase-II (2 papers) → Interview.

- SC/ST/PwBD: ₹100 + GST
- GEN/OBC/EWS: ₹850 + GST

Pay & Benefits
- Pay Scale: ₹78,450 – ₹1,41,600 (16 years).
- Initial Gross (without HRA): ~₹1,50,374 per month.
- Allowances: DA, HRA (15% if no accommodation), Medical, Education, Vehicle, Newspaper, Telephone, Festival Advance, LFC, Concessional Loans, etc.
- Probation: 2 years (extendable up to 4 years).
- Pension: NPS (Defined Contribution).
